Whole Foods was not only moving into the city, but it was also moving in only two blocks away. So NS needed to stay top-of-mind with their customers—and gain some new ones. While current customers were loyal, newbies could be switchers, so we needed to position ourselves as the best option for those new to organics. After talking with the owner, we found NS is extremely picky about what’s on their shelves, and see a plethora of options on Whole Foods’ they would never condone. We used that knowledge to our advantage to situate ourselves as the premier organic- and natural-foods chain, whether you were a regular or beginner.
